 My name is Warren Varley and I am running for the Iowa Senate. I am a family man, main street business owner, and active farmer. I am running to build an economy that rewards hard work, not just wealth and power. 

     My wife Karen and I met as agriculture students at Iowa State University and returned to the family farm in Adair County after we finished our educations. We have been married for 36 years and are parents of four grown children, We are active members of the United Methodist Church.     

     I have more than 25 years of experience in my law practice in Stuart and running our family farm. I have served as an effective local leader in rural economic development in this district. I am active in numerous community organizations including the Stuart Library Foundation, the Adair County Farm Bureau, and many others. I have served as a Trustee on the Adair County Memorial Hospital Board.
